Spring/Summer Lunch & Learn Series - Session 2
Hiring Vets, the Disabled and Those with Criminal Records
The subject of hiring Veterans, the Disabled and Those with Criminal Records has become more important as the post-COVID workforce contraction slowly rebounds. This session will examine the interplay of law and “best practices” for the hiring of these categories of applicants.
Attendees of this session will be able to:

Identify permissible and impermissible scope of application/interview questions for each category

Navigate the interplay of the ADA/PHRA with Veterans, particularly those with PTSD

Understand the boundary of “undue hardship” standard for the reasonable accommodation analysis

Properly decline to hire applicants with criminal records under state and federal law
