    Pay Transparency & Equity

This session will be held virtually.  Check back for more details.

Pay transparency.  While not currently a matter of regulatory compliance in PA, when done right, pay transparency can be a competitive advantage, part of a strong attraction and retention strategy, and key to an inclusive and sustainable organizational culture.  For these reasons and more, it’s a strategic initiative for many organizations and a “hot topic” for HR professionals.  With implications on employee retention and engagement, it’s also a topic that can make some (including C-suite executives), want to run for the hills!  This session will provide the opportunity to learn why we should embrace, not fight, this growing trend, and how to best prepare your organization to use pay transparency as a cultural cornerstone.

Following this presentation, participants will be able to . . .

    1. Understand what pay transparency is (including the full “Pay Transparency Spectrum”, why pay transparency is so important, and what its implications are to the organization.
    2. Discuss federal laws that prohibit pay discrimination based on gender, race, religion, etc.. that are “pay-transparency adjacent” – including Equal Pay Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
    3. Discuss the ways to analyze and evaluate your organization’s needs and readiness for pay transparency.
    4. Discuss ways to create the foundation for a culture that embraces pay transparency.
    5. Pay transparency in application – follow an organization’s path from “pay obscurity to pay transparency”
