    2. Identify Key Benefits: Participants will be able to articulate the primary advantages of the Shared Work Program for businesses, such as cost savings, talent retention, improved employee morale, and operational flexibility.
    3. Evaluate Employee Impact: Participants will learn how the program positively affects employees, providing income stability, job security, and an improved work-life balance, thereby enhancing overall employee well-being and engagement.
    4. Implement the Program Effectively: Participants will acquire practical knowledge on the steps required to apply for and implement the Shared Work Program within their organizations, including the application process and employee communications.

Special thanks to Shearer Technical for

    sponsoring this meeting.

Mark Shearer coined the name Shearer Technical for his new business with his wife Carole in 1999, after 5 years of intensive training & usage in the computer industry. Mark’s earlier background in business came from working with his parents, Sol & Mary Shearer, who owned Shearer’s Bar B Que ranch & poultry not far from here in Sinking Spring.

In the mid to late ‘90’s, Mark began by assisting disabled individuals with their computer needs through various offices in PA. OVR, or the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, had hired Mark in over 15 counties to paraplegics & quadriplegics to regain their lives through the use of computers.

Mark was also at that time working with seniors on their computers. Many of them his parent’s friends who are still currently living at the Highlands and in the Reading area. This grew to become one of Mark’s many “nitch” markets.

“It takes a lot of patience and perseverance”, Mark states. “But I know that I definitely received that from working with my parents”. “You see, I would definitely be considered a late bloomer”. “My parents were in their early 50’s when I was born, so I naturally grew up with seniors!”.

After all these years, Shearer Technical has become firmly rooted in the Berks County area, providing quality computer repair, sales, & training in a timely fashion.
