Understanding the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act |
This interactive PowerPoint presentation will familiarize attendees with the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and its regulations. It will also update attendees on the latest litigation concerning the PWFA, and the pitfalls employers need to avoid.
The presentation will offer the opportunity for audience interaction in analyzing some hypothetical situations.
Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:

Understand the breadth of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, and the conditions covered by it.

Be familiar with typical reasonable accommodations that may need to be made, as well as differences between reasonable accommodation under the PWFA and under the American With Disabilities Act.

Understand the penalties for violation of the PWFA.

Cancelations of registrations must be received by midnight December 5th to avoid invoice for fee.

Berkshire Country Club is business casual dress code. No jeans or shorts, please.
