About Us

The membership of the Berks County Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management was formed in 1972 and counts over 190 members, including HR practitioners, HR service providers, and educators in HR related fields. We also support a student chapter from Alvernia University.

The chapter holds general membership meetings the second Tuesday of each month. These meetings typically are held over breakfast at the Berkshire Country Club.

In keeping with the national SHRM mission of “advancing the human resource profession and the capabilities of all human resource professionals,” our meetings usually include a presentation or workshop on a topic of importance to HR professionals. Our meetings also provide members with a great opportunity to network with fellow HR professionals.
