    SPRING/SUMMER 2026 LUNCH & LEARN SERIES

    SESSION 1 OF 3

    REASONABLE SUSPICION

THIS IS A VIRTUAL SESSION HELD VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS

This training prepares HR professionals and supervisors to confidently handle situations where an employee may be impaired at work.  It focuses on maintaining a safe workplace, reducing organizational risk, and ensuring consistent application of the company's drug-free workplace policy.  Participants learn how to observe and document concerning behavior, initiate reasonable suspicion testing, communicate effectively with employees, and manage the full testing and follow-up process.  The session also emphasizes HR's role in supporting employees through next steps, whether that involves returning to work, disciplinary action, or referral to assistance programs.  At the end of the training, there will be time for Q&A so participants can address real-world scenarios and clarify any part of the process.

    Speakers:

    L. Tyler Jancano, Senior Risk Control Consultant, Engle Hambright & Davies

Richard E. Schlegel, Senior Risk Control Consultant, Engle Hambright & Davies

Cost to participate is $13 for Berks Chapter Members and $15 for Guests
