SEPTEMBER
Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15. This honors and celebrates the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community.
September 23: National Native American Day. This day is observed annually on the second Monday in October, celebrating the cultures and contributions of the many Native American tribes.

OCTOBER
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This observance was launched in 1945 when Congress declared the first week in October as “National Employ the Physically Handicapped Week.” In 1998, the week was extended to a month and renamed. The annual event draws attention to employment barriers that still need to be addressed.
October is LGBTQA+ History Month, a U.S. observance started in 1994 to recognize lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history and the history of the gay-rights movement.
German-American, Filipino-American, Italian-American, and Polish-American Heritages Month. This month honors, celebrates, and pays tribute to the contributions made by these groups in the US.
October 11: National Indigenous Peoples’ Day. This day honors, celebrates and pays tribute to the contributions of Indigenous peoples in the US.

NOVEMBER
November is National Native American Heritage Month, which celebrates the history and contributions of Native Americans.
November 11: Veterans Day, a U.S. federal holiday honoring military veteran. The date is also celebrated as Armistice Day, or Remembrance Day, in other parts of the world and commemorates the ending of the World War I in 1918.
November 19: International Men’s Day, celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and communities.

DECEMBER
December 3: International Day of Disabled Persons, designed to raise awareness regarding persons with disabilities in order to improve their lives and provide them with equal opportunity.
December 10: International Human Rights Day, established by the United Nations in 1948 to commemorate the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
December 26-January 1: Kwanzaa, an African-American holiday started by Maulana Karenga in 1966 to celebrate universal African-American heritage.
